Season 2014: Mass with the Vienna Boys Choir will be held every Sunday at the Hofmusikkapelle, Hofburg Palace, Schweizerhof, at 09:15am. The 2014 season/series starts with January 6th and ends with June 29th. July and August 2014 will remain closed. Fall starts with Sept. 5th Mass, through to December 25th and 28th. The Mass lasts approximately an hour.
On March 16th and 23rd, 2014 the "Choralschola" (former members of the choir) will perform at the Mass, therefore prices will be reduced*
On 27 April 2014 there is a program change: Instead of Mozart's Mass in F-major, there is now a fconcert to be performaed: "Organ Art & Gregorian chant". The Vienna Boys Choir will not sing on this day in the chapel.

On most dates, after the Mass the choir will come to the front of the audience, to ensure everyone has seen them. They will perfom an extra tune. Though there is no guarantee for that, as we know from experience.
If you wish to attend the performance of the Spanish Riding School afterwards, it is easy to walk from one site to the other, as they are just five minutes walking distance apart.
As you know, at the Mass there are only a few places in the Hofburg chapel with view of the musicians from the gallery and thus on the Wr. Philharmonic and the Boys' Choir. For most visitors, it is therefore a special highlight when the Boys Choir comes at the end of the Mass down and sing a tune before the altar.
This is done with the exception of two times a year for every Mass: In addition to the Christmas Mass at 25.12. (Tunes are replaced by "Silent Night") also on Easter Sunday that is the case, and this year also on the 20th April 2014 (Ttune "Hallelujah" from Handel's "Messiah" is replaced). Thus, as there shouldn't be false expectations, we inform you that the Vienna Boys Choir will not come on these dates at the end of the show forward to the altar.
