Federal Stud Piber Summer in Vienna
School farm at 'Piber'

Upon your request we may also put you on Priority Waiting List for the performances in Vienna, best category seats (Parterreloge - main floor box and Imperial box etc.), at prices ranging from approx. EUR 135,- to EUR 170,- incl. fees each. Children from 3-6 years do not need any ticket, if they will not take up an own seat. Children up to 3 years aren't allowed to enter the Riding Hall.

Tickets for training sessions with a guided tour afterwards (through various halls and the stables of the SRSchool) can be booked with our secure order form. The training will start at 10:00am (Hofburg, Josefsplatz 6, 3rd door), though we suggest to be there 30min early, pass the waiting line, since you will have your tickets already. Trainings will end at 12:00pm. The guided tour through the SRSchool's various buildings and stables follows at 2:00pm / 3:00pm (depends on availability ). You will have to go for lunch or one of the many museums in the Hofburg Palace in between the two events.

Training w/music ( Wed., Thurs., Fri., Sat. from February 5th 2008 until the end of the year 2008, and except in summer - July 1st until August 18th 2008 and except on all days when performances take place) or "Light Training" of the Spanish Riding School ("Light Training" between Nov. 13th and Dec. 7th) and visit of the Imperial Treasury afterwards.

The training will start at 10:00am (Hofburg, Josefsplatz 6, 3rd door), though we suggest to be there 30min early, pass the waiting line, since you will have your tickets already. Trainings will end at 12:00pm. The Imperial Treasury you will find just behind the SRSchool, at the Schweizerhof of the Hofburg Palace.

That is a new event at the Spanish Riding School, a colorful but shorter demonstration of various "moves" of the horses, acccompanied by (mostly) German language explanations by some of the riders. It reveals the "secrets" of the Lippizzan's education.

We may also offer Parterrebox or Royal Box seats upon request, at up to EUR 69,- each incl. fees.

For the very first time in the long history of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna visitors from home and abroad will receive a somewhat different impression to what they are usually offered: whilst the famous Lipizzaner stallions take their well-earned summer break, six Lipizzaner mares together with their foals will come to Vienna from the Federal Stud Piber and show a different side of these famous horses.

In addition to the youngsters and their dams, fully trained Lipizzaners from the Federal Stud Piber will be shown in single harness , in pairs, in tandem and in a four-in-hand together with riders in historical uniforms in the Winter Riding School. This special summer program will be presented in both German and English by the Managing Director of the Spanish Riding School and the Federal Stud Piber, Mag. Armin Aigner and the Stud Manager, Dr. Max Dobretsberger.
